Vault’s Cord Concealment: Stylish Solutions for a Seamless Design

Excuse us… your cord is showing. Your lamp cord, that is.

The last thing a designer wants is a lamp cord throwing off the overall aesthetic of a perfectly curated room. But the worry of how you will hide the cord and who will do it is alleviated when Vault Logistics is your designer delivery partner.
As part of our suite of white-glove services, our team can expertly hide lamp cords during installation through several different methods, depending on the location and type of furniture the lamp is placed on. While there are many methods to hide lamp cords, we only use techniques that provide the best presentation for your client.

Here are some common ways our team uses cord concealment for a seamless and polished presentation:

Clips & Hooks: One of the most common ways we hide cords is along the back, inside, or other inconspicuous spots on the furniture the lamp will be placed on. Small clips, hooks or staples are installed to keep the cord tight against the furniture to maintain that clean, sleek look. If there is additional cord length left, and if the furniture allows it, a small hook can be placed to coil the remaining cord so there isn’t an overflow on the floor. We also can drill through tables and run the cord inside the itemcord concealment, hiding lamp cord, designer delivery

Floor Outlets and Under Rugs: If a lamp is on a table that is resting on a rug, we will hide the cord along the furniture and then make a small slit in the rug and run the cord underneath the rug to the outlet. To avoid the dreaded bump of the cord under the rug we cut a channel in our rug plush pad so the lamp cord lays flat and flush.

Rest assured that our team always locate the switched outlet prior to placing all the items back to ensure everything works as it should.
